BREEAM In-Use (BIU) is a scheme aimed at reducing the running costs
and improving the environmental performance of existing buildings,
relevant to commercial, industrial, retail and institutional buildings.
The scheme enables an organisation and their advisors to appraise
their buildings’ current performance and highlight areas where
improvements can be made. It is based on self-assessing the
performance of a portfolio using the online BIU tool.
